A note to advise on the death of Maurice Lyons, father of current youth player Heidi Lyons.

Paula Laffan, President Naas RFC, the members and executive members extend their sympathies to his wife Aileen, children Kenneth, Andrew, Keith and Heidi and their extended families, relatives and friends.

Maurice LYONS, Stephenstown Court, Two Mile House, Naas, Kildare, W91 RPC2 / Mount Merrion, Dublin

Peacefully at home after a brave battle surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Eileen and his brother Johnny. Beloved husband of Aileen, devoted father of Kenneth, Andrew, Keith and Heidi. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife and family, Andrew's girlfriend Ann-Marie, Keith's girlfriend Kate, brothers-in-law Des, Michael and David, sisters-in-law Eleanor and Elaine, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral on Thursday morning with Requiem Mass at 10am in The Church of Our Lady and St. David, Sallins Road, Naas and afterwards to Two Mile House Cemetery, adjacent to St. Peter's Church. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Brain Tumour Ireland or The Irish Cancer Society. The family wish to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Beacon Hospital and the Palliative Care team from St. Brigid's Hospice, The Curragh.
