Mr Gerry Prendergast - Naas RFC President 2024 - 2025

It is a tremendous honour for me to take on the role of President at Naas RFC for the upcoming 2024/25 season. I have been actively involved with the Club since the 1988/89 season and have witnessed its remarkable growth and development over the years.

 

Starting off as a player for the Club, then contributing to the renovation of the Club House in the early '90s, and being part of the team that elevated the Club to Senior Rugby status in 2000, I have had a long-standing relationship with Naas RFC. From serving as treasurer to now being President, I am deeply honoured to represent our club and support the Executive Committee in any capacity necessary.

 

This season, we are looking forward to competing in various leagues, including the All-Ireland League, Senior Women's teams, J1's, J2's, U18's, and our youth and mini teams. Every team, from the Rattlers to the Vipers, plays a crucial role in our community.

 

In the Energia All, we aim to build on our previous successes in Division 1B and extend a warm Forenaughts welcome to all visiting teams.

 

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our players who have achieved representative honours at international and provincial level and wish them continued success in their rugby endeavours.  As a club we truly are very proud of you all. 

 

A special thanks to all our Club Sponsors for their unwavering support, as well as to our dedicated volunteers, coaches, and referees who generously contribute their time to Naas RFC. I wish the coaching teams all the best for the upcoming season and hope for an injury-free season for all players.
