A note to advise on the death of Margaret (Ita) Morrissey (née Shorte), mother of former senior player and youth coach Richard and grandmother of youth players Charlie and Christian.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Ita) Morrissey (née Shorte) Morganstown, Ballymore Eustace, Kildare / Monasterevin, Kildare

Morrissey (née Shorte) Margaret (Ita), (14th September 2024), Morganstown, Ballymore Eustace, and formerly of Riverstown House, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family in Naas Hospital; Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) and loving mother to Rosemary, Richard and Annette; Ita will be sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Charlie and Christian, daughter-in-law Cathy, sisters Kathy and Bernie, relatives and friends.

May Ita rest in peace

Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas (Eircode W91 CD0K), on Monday (16th September) from 5:30pm to 7pm with Rosary Prayers at 6:30pm. Funeral on Tuesday (17th September) with Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Peter’s Church, Two Mile House, followed by burial in adjoining Cemetery.
