A note to advise on the death of Maureen Hughes (née Bane) mother of U12 coach John Hughes and grandmother of U12 player Tom Hughes.

Barry Brophy, President Naas RFC, the Members and Executive members extend their sympathies to her husband Michael, daughters Angela, Michelle, Marian and Niamh, sons John and Declan, daughter in law Gwen, son in law Brian, sisters Bridie, Noreen and Vera, brother John, grandchildren Ella, Tom, Jamie and Zoe, sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, wonderful neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Maureen Hughes (née Bane), Pine Grove, Mountbellew, Sunday 28th March 2021, peacefully in the wonderful care of the ICU Department, UCHG Hospital, Galway, surrounded by her loving family. Maureen will be sadly missed by her loving husband Michael, daughters Angela, Michelle, Marian and Niamh, sons John and Declan, daughter in law Gwen, son in law Brian, sisters Bridie, Noreen and Vera, brother John, grandchildren Ella, Tom, Jamie and Zoe, sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, wonderful neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, the house will be strictly private and a private family. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, 30th March, at 1pm in St. Mary´s Church, Mountbellew, with burial afterwards in the new cemetery, Mountbellew.

In line with Government guidelines, attendance at the church, outside the church and at the cemetery will be limited to 10 people. The family appreciate your compliance with this request, your understanding, sympathy and support at this very difficult time.
